It is indeed my pleasure to introduce you to the mothers of the “Sweet” Sugar Land Chapter. I have the honor and privilege of serving as the Sugar Land Chapter President.  As the 5th President of the Sugar Land Chapter, I am following in the footsteps of great mothers who have served the South-Central Region of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. in the capacity of Sugar Land Chapter President. Since our chartering in 2008, the Sugar Land Chapter has remained dedicated to raising the next generation of African American leaders while enhancing the lives of all children.  We do this though leadership development, cultural exposure, community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving.  

The Sugar Land Chapter membership consists of 21 fabulous, dynamic and professional mothers who embrace Jack and Jill of America, Inc’s National theme “The Power to Make a Difference- We can do More!”.   As you peruse our Chapter website, you will see us living the Jack and Jill motto- “Let’s Work, Let’s Play, Let’s Live Together!”  More importantly, you will see that we always strive to do MORE than the minimum to help our community.  The Sugar Land Chapter is small but mighty in our impact in Fort Bend County, Texas.

Our 2019-2020 Chapter Theme is “Living the Sweet Life!”.   The Sugar Land Chapter will embody our chapter theme by ensuring that every member, child and father is engaged and has a “Sweet” experience in Jack and Jill through the formation of healthy relationships that encourage and support individual growth as leaders and as active citizens of society.  The goal is to provide educational opportunities which ensure that every member and child understands the mission, programmatic thrusts, governing documents and philanthropic ideals of Jack and Jill through unique programming that provides each family with a great return on investment or “ROI” as we like to call it.

I am looking forward to continuing the Sugar Land Chapter legacy of striving for excellence in everything we do!
